YOur TOWN
Llangefni is Anglesey’s second largest town.
Llangefni, the county town of Anglesey with its thriving market sits at the very heart of the island and is the seat of Anglesey’s County Council.
Although it has ancient roots that go back beyond the Roman occupation, it has only grown in size and importance in relatively modern times. Much of its architecture, including its clock-tower and church are Victorian and testify to the town’s growing importance.
Situated right on the banks of the Afon Cefni, Llangefni is both the County town and the second largest town on the Island.
It’s probably best known today as a centre of local government, enterprise and industry. But there’s so much more to Llangefni than business alone.
